The term “Traditional media” usually means newspapers, magazines, television and radio.
Newspapers

Magazines

A. “I read fashion and lifestyle magazines.”
Q. “Are there any magazines for families in Japan?”
A. “Yes, Ie no Hikari is a popular family magazine.”
Television
Q. “What kind of television programmes do you like?”
A. “I like travel programmes and cookery programmes.”
Q. “Do you watch films on TV?”
A. “No, I watch films on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.”
The radio
Q. “How often do you listen to the radio?”
A. “I listen to the radio most days. I like to listen to sport, and also news.”
Q. “Are there any English-language radio stations in Japan?”
A. “Yes, you can listen to AFN, the American Forces Network. Also, InterFM in Tokyo and NHK Radio Two both have some programmes in English.”
Talking about Social Media
Q. “Do you use Facebook?”
A. “I have a Facebook account but I don’t use it often.”
Q. “What do you use your smartphone for?”
A. “I used to use it for watching TV but now I use it for shopping and messaging my friends.”
