1. Talking About Yourself

Please use this lesson to practice talking about yourself. You can print it, then practice with a mirror. Or you can practice it with a friend. If you don’t have a friend, you can use a paper fox.

You don’t need to use all the sentences. Please read the example carefully. There will be another lesson tomorrow.

Hello, my name is Keiko Naito.
It’s a pleasure to meet you.
I’m a nurse at Tokyo Central Hospital.
I work in the oncology department.
I’ve worked there for three years.
I’m from Hiroshima but now I live in Shinjuku, near the station.
I’ve been living there for six years.
In my free time I like to cook for my friends.
My favourite dish is okonomiyaki. It’s a Japanese pancake. It’s savoury, not sweet.
I like seafood and chicken but I don’t like beef or pork.
